The LESEC collaborates with institutions and administrations in socio-environmental and urban studies. The interest of the research is to support the intervention processes of urban planning and civil engineering, from the evaluation of socio-environmental and territorial impacts and the analysis of conflicts associated with sustainability, lifestyles, the models of urbanization, the landscape, with a specialization in the coastal area. In this way, we want to contribute to the active involvement of agents and society in the planning of the territory and management of natural resources. The values of sustainability and the results of the research are incorporated into the teaching of the group, generating innovation projects.
The applied methodologies come from the social and environmental sciences. It works with the use of indicators and multicriteri techniques for the evaluation of impacts. Survey methods are applied for the study of perception and social networks in institutional analysis and governance.
